The Shop

Founded on October 20, 1955 by the grandparents of the current businesswoman, Alexandrina Dominguez. “A Severa” is the oldest fado house in Lisbon that has remained in the same family for three generations.

Shop History

Fado, artistic expression Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity since 2011: “Intangible cultural heritage, transmitted from generation to generation, is permanently recreated by communities and groups depending on their environment, their interaction with nature and their history, providing give them a feeling of identity and continuity, thus contributing to promote respect for cultural diversity and human creativity.”
