This 1905 store preserves all the original furniture with a perfect harmony between space and commercial activity. As well as a collection of Armazem dos Linhos brand, offering handbags, kitchen, table and homeware, where we aim to achieve a balance between past and present, tradition and modern times. is an establishment very visited by tourists who love the space and the offer of souvenirs created with traditional fabrics.

Shop History

Armazém dos Linhos started out as a tailor in 1905, at Rua de Passos Manuel 15, Porto. In the 50´s focused on the manufacture and trade of printed fabrics with Portuguese traditional patterns. The lack of succession for this family-owned business threatened its closure in 2011, creating the opportunity for Filipa and Leonor Pinto Basto to rewrite the destiny of this traditional company.
This project seeks to revive Alcobaça chintz patterns – colourful and gloriously patterned fabrics that are nowadays part of Portugal’s cultural heritage – through the reproduction of old patterns and the design of exclusive products, 100% made in Portugal.
In our shop you can find a range of national linens, printed cotton fabrics for sewing in general, patchwork, jutes, canvas, etc.
