The Shop

Casa Hortícola succeeded Salsicharia Internacional, the original establishment at the opening of the Bolhão Market, inheriting and preserving the ceiling and walls with wooden paintings that simulate marble, showcasing a unique beauty. These elements are complemented by tile work on the walls, the famous "fountain," and furniture and counters with marble tops, where meats were once cut, and later, seeds were packaged and customers were attended to.

Casa Hortícola is a store specialized in vegetable and flower seeds, as well as flower bulbs, and began its operations in the distant year of 1921 at its current location. It is the oldest store in the Bolhão Market and the oldest seed shop in the country.
