The Shop

Electro-Minho was founded on October 14, 1955 on the initiative of Augusto Martins, under the legal form of a limited liability company, registered at the Viana do Castelo Commercial Registry Office, constituting one of the oldest companies in the municipality. Augusto Martins was the great-uncle of the current owners, with the 4th generation as employees who guarantee the continuity of a family business that spans generations.

Shop History

The project, today led by José Canão, is the result of a clear desire to build a company where quality services would be provided to the client, with regard to the execution of high, medium and low voltage electrical installations, infrastructures and telecommunications, installations of gas distribution networks, heating, ventilation and air conditioning and which, to date, has made a difference in the market. Over the course of more than 60 years of existence, new services and/or added value have been incorporated that greatly contributed to the success that was gradually achieved. Electro-Minho is currently one of 13 companies that work for EDP across the country, a collaboration that has been ongoing for around 40 years.
