Bertrand has been an editor and bookstore since its foundation. Throughout the centuries Bertrand has maintained its activity incessantly with many and varied original editions, unique and pioneering of national and international culture.

Shop History

Founded in 1732 and located since 1773 on Rua Garrett, Bertrand Bookshop is a secular and uninterrupted reference in the publishing and cultural activity of Lisbon and our country, being considered the oldest bookstore in the world.
